INEC names Umo Eno the winner in Akwa Ibom’s governor election.

Umo Eno, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been declared the victor of the governor of Akwa Ibom by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Eno received 356,348 ballots to win the election.

He defeated Bassey Albert of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), who came second with 136,262 votes.

Akan Udofia of the All Progressives Congress came third with 129,602 votes.
