The United Kingdom government offers a whopping sum of £10K to cater for visa and relocation of international teachers willing to handle languages and physics in all parts .
In ahead of the 2023/2024 academic year, the United Kingdom government published an article on their official website iterating requirements to earn a one-time £10K payment for relocation.
According to the report, any international teachers willing to relocate to the UK will receive the payment to ease travelling expenses upon qualification for the role.
“The international relocation payment (IRP) is a single payment of £10,000 which is available to eligible non-UK trainees and teachers of languages and physics.
All the payment is designed to cover the costs of visas, the immigration health surcharge and other relocation expenses.
The IRP offers financial support to teachers and trainees from all over the world who wish to come to train and work in English schools. It will be paid around the end of the teacher’s or trainee’s first term. It will not need to be repaid.
If eligible, trainee teachers can receive both the IRP and a bursary or scholarship. We are running the IRP as a pilot in the 2023 to 2024 academic year.”

How Nigerians reacted to the £10K bursary for relocation of teachers to the UK
Wizarab10 peened: “UK is offering £10k relocation fee for anyone that want to migrate to UK to teach. Note that teaching kids is one of the hardest jobs in the UK. There is no respect and you have no power of the kids. Just a friendly advice before you rush it.”
Kingsizzz said: “Take note some of these UK kids will spit on you and you can’t do anything about it.”
maxvayshia commented: “They should teach their children themselves. Na their wahala be that.”
RealBrihannah said: “Friendly advice needed before you rush go beat oyibo pikin.”
Ogee_Onovo commented: “It seems people are not applying that’s why they decided to add money.”
rukky_nate stated: “I would rather teach here in Nigeria than teach in the UK or the US. There’s absolutely NO respect for you as a teacher in these two countries, you are disrespected, dehumanized, made fun of by the students and there’s absolutely NOTHING you can do about it. It’s not worth it.”
