Revealed: When Fuel Scarcity Will Ease, NNPCL GM, Kyari, Begs Nigerians

The ongoing fuel shortage would start to subside starting the following week, according to Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).
However, Kyari stated in a video that was aired on Channels Television on Tuesday night that he was unable to guarantee that the lines at the gas stations will shorten.

The NNPCL boss that there would be significant improvement in the next one week

He said, “Now within the next one week, I’m not saying that you’re going to have zero queues within the next one week, no, because a number of things are out of our control, and of course the market forces will determine some of these issues.

“But I believe that we’re going to see substantial and relative ease compared to today in the next one week.

“I apologise for the situation on behalf of all of us in the oil and gas industry.”

Naija News reports that the scarcity of fuel has brought untold hardship on citizens, crippling economic activities across the country.

Coupled with the scarcity of the new and old naira notes, Nigerians have had to storm the streets to protest the hardship.

President Muhammadu Buhari had last week Friday asked Nigerians give him seven days from then to resolve the naira crisis.
